Ways to Social Distance at Preschool & Enrichment Center During Covid-19
The Calm After the Storm, back to Arts & Crafts!
Like a ray of sunshine after a dark storm, after this long period of confinement centres are finally starting to reopen and resume operation. We are hopeful that progress will be maintained, that everyone takes the safety precautions necessary in enabling this reopening. If you are a parent, I’m sure you have been on the lookout for fun activities to get your kids busy and creative.
With your best interests at heart, Yellow Easel has decided to reopen its doors. Compulsory precautions will be taken, such as
- temperature control upon arrival
- wearing masks throughout class
- keeping safe distance from one another
- Before and after the student’s artsy activities, washing of hands will be required.
- The teachers ensure you that they will sanitize all the table surfaces before class begins as well as after class is complete.
We only allow students and teachers inside the classroom. For parents picking up their kids we encourage them to patiently keep social distance in the waiting area, or to wait at the door for their child to come out, we want to avoid having too many families coming in at once.
Paying attention to the bright colored tape on the floor ensures that everyone stays at least a meter apart at all times. We have set up a physical distancing classroom that makes it easy to move around without contact.

At each work desk, we have prepared a sneeze guard board that creates an extra shield of protection between students. The space on which they’ll be working will have all the supplies they’ll need. This guard board separates the students while maintaining a personal work space and we indeed do encourage conversation and sharing of thoughts!
